For my degree, i will be focussing on the urban landscape. I am particularly interested in line and wires found in structure, construction, industry etc... I will be looking at building sites, construction and demolition. I will be focussing my drawing on cranes, powerlines, transport and telegraph poles. Havin seen teh japanese anime Serial Experiments Lain, i want to emphasise the beauty of line in the urban landscape. I will be working with watercolours and oils and want my pieces to look dark, mysterious and atmospheric with a grainy effect. I am only starting out now and have been sourcing artists and woking on colour, drawings and compositions for paintings. My main influences have been from the italian artist; bernard sicilano, and irish artists Cara Thorpe and Erin de Burca. Cara Thorpe's work can be viewed by clicking
HERE. And Erin de Burca currently has a great exhibition in the Bad Art Gallery, Francis Street. You can view her work
